Great vegetables<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

On\u00a0our farm, Lundasletta, we deal with agrotourism<\/strong>\u00a0(in Norwegian\u00a0g\u00e5rdsturisme<\/strong>), sheep<\/strong> and Community Supported Agriculture<\/strong> (CSA). We, who run the farm, are\u00a0Inger Murvold and Vidar Hovden Knutsen. Our four kids are now grown-ups and have left their parents home alone. Anyway, they are\u00a0not bothered by homesickness, but\u00a0can be seen from time to time.<\/p>\n

The autumn 2015 a serious rehabilitation project started at our\u00a0farm and\u00a0“K\u00e5rstua” and the outbuildings are today in a very good shape. During the work we have emphasized taking care of the soul of the buildings.<\/p>\n

Agrotourism – G\u00e5rdsturisme<\/h3>\n

Agrotourism is not a commonly used term in Norway, but “g\u00e5rdsturisme” is basicly the same.\u00a0With us the guests in “K\u00e5rstua” own a part in\u00a0the CSA and can harvest organic vegetables and berries of the season in the field.\u00a0During the summer\u00a0it abounds with delicious vegetables wich is an adventure harvesting.\u00a0You can also buy \u00a0sheep skin from our sheep of the breed\u00a0Norsk pelssau\u00a0(Norwegian pelt-sheep). Or you can just enjoy your time in the solarium with peltsw from the sheep in the chairs.<\/p>\n

Lundasletta has\u00a0a sheltered and fine placement close to\u00a0Austr\u00e5tt Manor, Austr\u00e5tt Fort, Austr\u00e5tt grove, Austr\u00e5tt golf course, the beach in Storjektvika\u00a0and Austr\u00e5tt Marina. In our opinion, nothing can compare to a summer day at Austr\u00e5tt. It\u00b4s nice to stroll to the sea on idyllic paths through the Austr\u00e5tt grove. For\u00a0those who wants more action – biking, kayak paddling, playing golf or a trip out on the sea sailing or fishing.<\/p>\n

The farm was originally a part of the main farm, Austr\u00e5tt, but was separated out in 1930. It consists of 13 ha cultivated land and 10 ha pasture for the sheep. The pasture can be found close to the Rusaset Lake and the Rusaset Mountain. Except for\u00a01 ha assigned to grow organic vegetable and berries in the Community Supported Agriculture, the land is for graze and feed for the sheep.\u00a0During the wintertime we feed 70 sheep of the race\u00a0Norsk pelssau<\/a>. In the summertime the number has increased sharply, since more than 100 lambs put their mark on the farm.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
